Day 2 VLCD: So far, so good!

My first day back on the VLCD went great - I wasn't hungry, and I drank a LOT of water and tea. The scale showed a nice loss this morning, but I've still got a ways to go to get back to LIW.

Something just seems different this time - I feel really good about things, and feel like my head is in the right place. And we all know that in the weight loss game, the biggest battle we fight is the one between our ears!

Day 1 VLCD - Back in the saddle again

After having two uneventful loading days, today is my first VLCD day, and so far so good! I was doubly careful about mixing my hCG this time - last time, I messed up by mixing it at half strength but didn't figure it out until halfway into the round!) So, haven't been feeling hunger at all today. Have also been drinking the wonderful Yerba mate tea, which has previously helped me with hunger in the past. The other thing I'm doing differently this time is intramuscular injections rather than subcutaneous. I haven't done IM since my very first successful round on hCG, so this could make a difference for me as well.

So by getting started off on the right note with these proven successful elements of the program, coupled with the mantra "I can do anything for three weeks", I'm ready to see the numbers on the scale plummeting downward.

Where do I begin?

Hi everybody

It's been over a month since I posted last, and I have to be honest - I've come within a hair's breadth of dropping out of the Challenge, because I keep gaining weight back after stopping the injections. As evidenced by the tremendous success of some of the Challengers and of other folks who have lost weight on hCG, the problem is obviously not with the protocol - it's with me.

Because I have so much weight to lose, I've been doing the rounds in the 46-day increments. At first, that was great, and I had tremendous success. But then, I made some honest mistakes, which later led to circumventing the program. Consequently, I began feeling hungry and deprived, and when I finally got to Phase 3 and 4, I lost control. And that's where the gains come back in.

So now, I'm at a crossroads: do I drop out of the Challenge, or do I pick myself back up again and keep going?

My choice: I choose to succeed, by golly! Nobody ever said this was going to be easy. And it may take me another year to get this weight off, but I'm going to do it come hell or high water.

With that in mind, I began injections again this morning, and will be loading today and tomorrow. This will be one 23-day round, which will end just before Thanksgiving. I'll then follow the protocol through the holidays and then start back up with injections again after the first of the year.

So there you have it! I am NOT going to fail, and am going to stay with it as long as it takes. Today and tomorrow I load, and Wednesday I will continue onward and downward!

See you in a couple of days!
Susan
